by | Dec 18, 2022

In the latest issue of Construction magazine, we look back at some of the highlights of the year and ahead to what lies in store for the industry in 2023.

After what has been a year of steady progress across all sectors following a period of covid uncertainties and closures, the New Year looks set to get off to a positive start with the launch of the CIF’s latest careers campaign We Built This City.

A group of young construction talents – one features on our cover and the rest of you can meet and be inspired by across pages 30 to 35 – will star in a new social media video series in January to highlight the many varied and exciting jobs on offer within the built environment.

Throughout 2022, the CIF has continued steadfast in its support of member companies across Ireland, championing their work and being a representative for the industry at the highest levels.

From this year’s successful Annual Conference to a widely-engaged and extended Construction Safety Week to scores of regional and sector related events across the country, the voice of the industry is being heard.

Despite challenges being faced across the nation, at both construction and community levels, the CIF endeavours to maintain a bright outlook for 2023 bolstered by a collaborative approach among its stakeholders.

In this edition, we have featured people we feel embody all that is positive about the construction industry and delve into a range of topics from safety to sustainability and skills.

We hope you enjoy the read and we wish you all a very happy Christmas and New Year.
